
Elizabeth Todd resided at Hoarley Grange with Samuel Swinton and her daughter Isabella Swinton Todd. Her second marriage to John Davies of the Abbey, Much Wenlock was on 13 February 1828. They resided at the Abbey up to the time of Isabella's wedding in 1833. They had a daughter Elizabeth born in 1833 at Glascwm, Radnor, Wales and she appeared in the 1851 Census at the Abbey, Much Wenlock, aged 18, working as a house servant. In the same year her mother Elizabeth had also moved back to Much Wenlock (Burton Lane) a widow, aged 57 born in Scotland. Elizabeth was related in some way to Major General Samuel Swinton. He left Hoarley Grange to her in his will.
