Frederick was born at West Bromwich, Staffs. in 1862 and at the time of the 1881 Census he was living with his family at Quarry House, Handsworth, Birmingham and working as an iron founder. By the 1891 Census he had moved to The Uplands, Shifnal and was described as a manufacturer of iron safes. In 1901, still at home with his mother, he was living at Inglewood, Shifnal and was then Manager of the Safe Works. He died in 1936 at the Cottage Hospital, Shifnal leaving his estate to his sister Edith Mary.
