Anne was born on 14 July 1797 at Sutton Coldfield, the daughter of Joseph Shutt (a curate of the Church of England) and Ann Eldershaw. Her christening took place at Sutton Coldfield on 30 August 1797. She married Edward Jackson of Aldridge, Staffs.
