William Cecil was born at Churchbridge, Staffs. in 1788 and died in 1856. He became a soldier and later a farmer and innkeeper at the Star Inn. He married Elizabeth (born 1803) and they had three children: Edwin F (1824 - ); Fanny (1843 - ) and William (1851 - ). Fanny married Israel Bill at Cannock and they had twelve children: Harry (1863 -); Arthur (1867 - ); Ernest (1867 - ); Frederick (1870 - ); Walter (1872 -); Elizabeth (1875 - ); Sydney (1879 - ); Oscar (1881 - ); Fanny (1884 - ); Daisy (1886 - ); Cecil (1886 - ); and Violet (1888 - ).
